Feel free to use my tutorial as a guide and
have fun giving it your own spin.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Needed Supplies & Filters :

Tube of Choice .. I am using the work of Elias Chatzoudis which you must have a license to use. Please do not use his work without purchasing through MPT here.

Scrap Kit of Choice .. I have used a gorgeous PTU kit from Bits n Bobs called Happy Holidays, which can be purchased here.

Template of Choice .. I have used a great template from Missy (59), which can be downloaded from her blog here.

Mask of Choice .. I haved used WSL_Mask84 Weescotslass which can be downloaded here.

Font of Choice .. I am using Impact.

Word Art of Choice .. I have used a great word art from Lori, which is available on her blog here.

Let's get started !

Open your mask and template in PSP.
On your template, duplicate and close original. Delete credits and optional tag layer. Imafge canvas size 600x600 and floodfill background layer white.

Add a new raster layer just above your background layer, select all and paste into selection Paper  7.  New mask layer from image, WSL_Mask84, invert mask data unchecked, and merge group. Resize 105%

Now we will start filling our template layers. This is the part where you can play with different papers if you are using a scrap kit or different colors but the technique is the same.

Select Circle layer, select all/float/defloat, copy and paste paper 10, resize 50%, selections invert and hit delete.  Delete original layer. Do not deselect.

New raster layer, selections invert, selections modify expand 6 and floodfill with #700d00. Select none. Adjust, add noise 25%, uniform & monochrome checked. Move this layer below your other circle layer and drop shadow. I have used 2/2/40/4 throughout.

Select Larger rectangle 1 layer, select all/float/defloat, new raster layer and floodfill with #700d00. Select none and delete original layer. Add noise as before and drop shadow.

Select Larger rectangle 2 layer, copy and paste Paper 1, resize 50%, selections invert and hit delete. Copy and paste tube close up and hit delete. Select none and delete original rectangle layer.

Select Snaller rectangle 1 layer, select all/float/defloat, new raster layer and floodfill with #700d00. Select none and delete original layer. Add noise as before and drop shadow.

Select Smaller rectangle 2 layer, copy and paste Paper 2, resize 50%, selections invert and hit delete. Select none and delete original layer.

Copy and paste Tree 1, drop shadow and position just on top of your smaller frame.

Copy and paste Bow 2, resize 50% & drop shadow. Position top right hand side of your frames.

Copy and paste Holly 1, resize 50% & drop shadow. Position just on top of your bow.

Copy and paste Ivy 2, resize 75% and drop shadow. Position bottom right hand side, just between your circle and larger rectangle. See my tag for placement. I have also trimmed the part of the ivy peeking out on the bottom.

Copy and paste Ivy 1, resize 65% & drop shadow. Position top left hand corner again between your circle and larger rectangle layers. I have also trimmed the bottom of the ivy that is too long.

Copy and paste Journal 2, resize 50% & drop shadow. Position bottom right hand side.

Copy and paste your chosen word art gradient glow. I have added the following gradient glow and then drop shadow.

X out white background, merge visible.
Open white background, resize to your liking (I used 500x500).

Add copyright. Add your name on your journal tag .. I used PassionsConflictRob, Size 36 black and rotated a bit.

Save and you are done.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial.

Please feel free to send me your results.
I'd love to see what you came up with.
