Simple Pleasures Tut

Feel free to use my tutorial as a guide and
have fun giving it your own spin.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Needed Supplies & Filters :

Tube of Choice .. I am using the work of Keith Garvey which you must have a license to use. Please do not use his work without purchasing through MPT here.

Scrap Kit of Choice .. I have used a gorgeous PTU kit from Cora called Wild Love which be purchased here.

Template of Choice .. I have used a great template from Vix Template #9,
which can be downloaded on her blog here.

Mask of Choice .. I haved used WSL_Mask84 Weescotslass which can be downloaded here.

Font of Choice .. I am using Impact.

Let's get started !

Open template and mask in PSP. Duplicate template and close original. Delete copyright and optional tagback layers.

Copy and paste Paper 4. New mask layer from image, WSL_84, invert mask data unchecked, and merge group.

Now we will start filling our template layers. This is the part where you can play with different papers if you are using a scrap kit or different colors but the technique is the same.

Select Square fills layer, select all, float/defloat, copy and paste Paper 7, selections invert and hit delete. Do not deselect. Copy and paste tube of your choice, position and hit delete. Repeat for 2nd frame. Select none. Adjust opacity to 80% for both tube layers. Delete original square fills layer.

Select Square frames layer, select all, float/defloat, new raster layer, copy and paste Paper 9, selections invert, hit delete. Select none. Delete original layer. Add drop shadow. I have used 2/2/40/4 throughout.

Select Copy of rectangle layer, select all, float/defloat, copy and paste Paper 7, selections invert, hit delete. Select none. Delete original layer. I have applied the following textures/blinds.

Copy and paste Diamonds. rotate right 90 and postion above your blinds layer. Add drop shadow and trim ends that are too long. Layer duplicate and flip.

Select Rectangle frame layer, select all, float/defloat, new raster layer, copy and paste Paper 9, selections invert, hit delete. Select none. Delete original layer. Add drop shadow.

Copy and paste Flower 2, resize 30%, drop shadow and position bottom right hand side.

Copy and paste Button 2, resize 65%, drop shadow and position above your flower.

Select Simple word art layer, select all, float/defloat, copy and paste Paper 7, selections invert and hit delete. Select none and delete original layer. I have applied the following gradient glow and then drop shadow.

Select Pleasures word art layer, apply the same gradient glow and drop shadow. Drag both your word art layers to the top of all your layers.

Copy and paste Cherries, resize 50% and drop shadow. Position just below your word art layers so it appears the cherries are dangling.

X out white background, merge visible.
Open white background, resize to your liking (I used 500x500).

Add copyright & add your name. I used Impact size 60 color #b82100. I then added the same gradient glow and drop shadow as before.

Save and you are done.
